The LUC means it was made for their combine, thus the hand cluch. Was told it was 26 HP. I am looking for a starter for mine. It is hand cranked and runs fine. I gave $1200.00 for mine with a fresh $300.00 paint job on it. I use it to pull a corn mill. I was also told John used the same engine in their L, LA and LI tractors.

info about John 2 cylinder. LUC age info may already be on the forum but I was not able to find it. The engine serial number is 46996. I am guessing that the age range is mid to late 1940's. It does have an Wico "X" mag on it, though that may not be original. Any help on the age would be great.
